Wendy Frenzel talks about her excitement to see Heather Bright on Saturday, April 18th and watching as many teams as possible at the Colorado State Tournament for Destination Imagination.

Dedication. That is one word that you could use for Heather Bright, my oldest daughter. She is riding the train from Lincoln all night to come to Denver for the Colorado State Destination Imagination (DI) Tournament on Saturday, April 18th. She won’t be coming to just watch the tournament but to appraise. I just hope the train isn’t late because the first teams start early!

My biggest worry for Saturday is the weather forcast. I know that the South Metro Region worried two weeks ago when the weather forcast was not good for our tournament, but it was a winter storm that didn’t materialize. I’m hoping the “big” storm they are talking about for Saturday doesn’t materialize as a winter storm but instead as nice rain showers. I know that I’m not the only one with this wish for good weather for the tournament.

I’m not sure how long Heather and I will be able to stay for the awards ceremony to see which teams will be moving on to Destination Imagination (DI) Globals. Heather has to catch the train back to Lincoln that night. Yes, that is dedication!

Do you want to know how strong your relationship is or will be? Learn about the Relationship Compatibility Forecaster.

My mom, Jane Ann, whom took me to a jewelry making class for my birthday, has added to our Two Girls Bling web site a Relationship Compatibility Forecaster. It’s a fun thing to check out and priced at only $10 per report

The forecaster uses Vedic Astrology to help provide you with information about your compatibility. The information needed to provide the most accurate information is the birth date, the birth time, and location of birth for both parties. To order your compatibility forecaster, visit the Two Girls Bling link on the side or click here. You can learn more about the report by visiting the compatibility forecaster link and clicking on “More Information.”

Hugs and prayers go out to the kids in our life.

Extra hugs go out to the kids.

There are days when you have your little ones around and you just expect them to always be with you. Yes, they grow up, but as a parent, you don’t have the concept that something could happen to them to possible hurt them or take them away from you. With that, you sometimes forget that extra hug or just to tell them that you love them one more time.

Two families that I know are going through a rough time with their little girls. One family is a little over a week into knowing their 7 year old daughter (the same age as my youngest) has abdominal cancer. Through their Caring Bridge site I can be updated on their ups and downs, joys and sadness, and know the power of prayer is great. I can forward these updates to the prayer chain for my church where little Amy is on the prayer chain – just one of many prayer chains she is listed on.

The other family lives across the street from me and their little one is at Children’s Hospital. We’ve always known that Abbey has had medical problems. Over the years she’s had good times and then some bad times. Everytime that she was across the street that we knew about, my little one would be across the street to play. They would race down the street, Kat on her bike and Abbey in her motorized chair. Or they would sit inside the house and play with horses or other “quiet” activity (though I’m sure it was never really quiet as both girls have a hearty laugh). Kat is hoping that her friend will be back across the street soon to play.

So, extra hugs go out to the kids with prayers to keep them safe and secure.
